The Black Library: Novedades editoriales para Enero de 2013

Estas son las novedades que la editorial inglesa The Black Library, especializada en las líneas de Warhammer y Warhammer 40.000, ha publicado durante este mes de enero. Como pudimos ver en esta otra noticia, la nueva novela en lengua inglesa, para la línea Warhammer Fantasy, protagonizada por el dúo Gotrek y Félix, ha llegado este mes de a las librerías. Road of Skulls, que así se titula la novela, es la primera incursión de Josh Reynolds, su autor, en esta serie de fantasía épica que tan buenos ratos ha hecho pasar a los aficionados, incluyendo los lectores españoles, con un total de doce entregas publicadas por la editorial barcelonesa Timun Mas. Este mes The Black Library ha publicado también nuevas ediciones de las aventures de Gotrek y Félix en formato ómnibus, con nuevas portadas a juego con Road of Skulls, como podréis ver a continuación.

¿Qué pasa con las novedades de Warhammer en castellano?
Como pudimos ver en la última entrevista al editor de Timun Mas y Minotauro, éstas todavía no están completamente decididas. Las preguntas de los lectores del desaparecido portal Scyla.com incluían respuestas para la publicación de títulos como Sword of Caledor, de William King (continuación de La sangre de Aenarion) o Sons of Ellyrion, de Graham McNeill (continuación a su vez de Defensores de Ulthuan). El editor contestó que en noviembre de 2012 todavía estaban hablando con The Black Library sobre las fururas publicaciones de ambas líneas

Por otro lado, para Warhammer 40.000 publican un par de títulos. El primero de ellos, la nueva entrega del comisario Ciaphas Cain, legendario héroe del Imperio que protagoniza The Greater Good, una novela de Sandy Mitchell. El segundo, una edición limitada en tapa dura que incluye un mapa a color con Yarrick: Chains of Golgotha, de David Annandale. Además, la editorial también publica un puñado de títulos en formato electrónico como Commissar, de Andy Hoare, Battle-Brothers, de Gav Thorpe, Angels of Darkness, de Gav Thorpe, la antología The Book of the Lion, con relatos y cómics sobre los Ángeles Oscuros, también la historia corta The Smallest Detail, de Sandy Mitchell, la novela Ahriman: Exile, de John French, o la historia corta sobre Eisenhorn y Ravenor, Perihelion, de Dan Abnett.
